Waterproof Bag Production Case
In 2022, we received an inquiry for waterproof bags from an international sports event. In this study, we will briefly introduce how we provide our one-stop service from production to delivery.

Summary
In late September, 2022, we received an inquiry on our website from a Canadian client who is sourcing waterproof bags as gifts for participants in their event in 2023. We provided our one-stop solution for our client, where we not only manufactured the products but also arranged DDP delivery to their address in Canada.
Background
Our client is undertaking a world-class sports game that has a history of about 40 years. The event has also been held in China before. Our client estimates an approximate of more than 8,500 participants to attend the game, and they only has a few months to do the procurement.
Challenge
While this event has a long history, it is the first time that our client undertakes the game as host. With limited knowledge about international procurement, our client wish to make things work as smooth as possible. Our website left an impressive first glance to our client, and they wish to make it work with us so that they can put more effort in the rest aspects.
We investigated into the challenges our client was facing and divided them into two parts: production and delivery. Luckily, both are our strengths.
Solution
Our client has a complex logo of three colors with gradient, which resulted in a sample cost. While it was uncommon for sample costs to exist in Canada, our client decided to take the risk and bought samples from us at their own expenses.

The samples reached Canada in October and our client was quite satisfied with the quality. They really wanted to make things work with us, and made a proposal to increase the budget to the committee of the games which, however, was not approved.
Thus, our client and us together looked into the product to find where to control the cost, and decided to remove some unnecessary decorations and adjust the quantity slightly.
Logistics is another concern from our client, because they do not have their own broker in Canada. Therefore, we suggested delivery duty paid (DDP) by sea. With DDP delivery method, we arrange all transportation and cost, including clearance and customs documentation for the products to reach our client’s warehouse in Canada. Our clients accepted it as it reduced the cost and effort they needed to put in, and granted them more time to prepare other aspects for their event.
Result
The board of committee of the games is satisfied with the deal, and they decided to order the waterproof bags along with 500 swim caps from us. We received their payment at the end of December 2022, when the last outbreak of Covid-19 struck both of us and the production was delayed by two weeks.
The raw material reached our factory in Feb and the production was finished at the end of March. We loaded the products and shipped them to our client in April.
Our client’s sports event is going to take place in Summer 2023, and we wish them a success!
